Arrow Mattick soaps are all handmade using the cold process of soap making, which leaves the natural skin-loving glycerin in soap. Glycerin is a product that is created during the saponification* process and helps your skin to retain its moisture and, also draws in moisture form the air to keep your skin feeling great. Many industrial soap makers remove the glycerin, causing skin to feel dry. The glycerin is then used in lotions to “add” moisture back into your skin.
Our goats milk soap combines vegetable oils and fresh goats milk to pamper and nourish your skin. Customers with eczema and psoriasis love goats milk soap for its nourishing and skin soothing benefits.
*Saponification – The chemical process that occurs when fatty acids (vegetable and other oils) combine with an alkali (in our case sodium hydroxide or lye) to create soap and glycerol (glycerin).
